“Salvation is the entire universe being brought back into harmony with its maker.” Rob Bell Velvet Elvis
There is a realignment taking place. Quietly. Methodically. Yet, with certainty. A realignment of our life and we can hear the invitation to join in the dance or sit along the wall and watch the dancers twirl and embrace. The sheer utter joy of the dance of the new creation is what God offers in the Advent of the King. The long expected one. The Prince of Peace.
Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The problem with Christianity is not that it has been tried and found wanting. The problem is that it has not been tried.” We find people weighed down by guilt, sin, shame, brokenness, marginalization, and fear. Salvation is the proclamation of FREEDOM. Freedom to embrace the new creation that we are and follow our dance partner into realms not yet explored. We are made new. We do not have to remake ourselves we simply need to find the truth of this statement. We are made new in the One of Promise. It is not our doing that does this. We are to consumed with the doing. It is following the leader of the dance. It is to listen to the voice of one crying, “In this wilderness prepare a way for us to dance together.”
In the quiet moments of the day, hear the words spoken to you. You are free. Free to follow the one who leads the dance. To turn and spin and enjoy the embrace of the one who is bringing the universe into harmony once again. Steal a quiet moment because it is in listening to the universe that we hear the makers voice.
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
This may seem like a passive activity but it is far from that. It is an opening to…well, you’ll find out.
Enjoy the dance
