Spiritual Coaching Vol 1 #21 Music…

Music moves us. It’s as though music is a part of us like blood or an organ. Everyone relates to some kind of music. It’s a poetry of the soul. Every culture relates to some form of music. Steve Jobs understood this and revolutionized the music industry. Bill Joel once said, I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.

You may not make music on an instrument or with your voice but you are a part of it as a listener. You participate with it somewhere deep within your consciousness. It is music that will stir you and move you and motivate you. I don’t think you need to be an artist to make music – I think music can make you an artist. We need more of it in schools at early ages and less stigma associated with it in middle schools and high school. It enriches us all as human beings. Away with the “Muzak” formulations and bring on the classical, country, bluegrass, and rap. Let the African beats and the South American Samba fill your ears and hearts. Whatever music you listen too – listen or play it soulfully, because that’s where it comes from.

Psalms 57:7 records, My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Maybe you’ve heard the saying that when you sing you pray twice. Music can be a prayer for the spirit of a person. Make your music today. Be a poet of the soul. Sing – be glad – make the world a better place with the music you create.

  1. I’m impressed, I must say. Actually rarely do I encounter a blog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me let you know, you’ve gotten hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the difficulty is one thing that not enough individuals are talking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for one thing regarding this.
