Spiritual Coaching Vol 2 #3 Light…

Light…

The light in winter is rare and beautiful. Sometimes there is the slow graying of the morning but it still has a beauty to it that makes the day fresh and new again. I have always loved the Latin phrase from Psalm 36 (also the slogan for my college):In luce tua videmus lucem – in thy light we see light. Light is a gift not only of the day it is a gift that grows daily during these long mid-winter days. Slowly revealing hope and an audacious spring.

Light…

Are you a person of light? Do you spread light, insight, spring, and understanding as you travel through life. There are those who bring a darkness of attitude wherever they go. They are like human candle snuffers. They put out lights and ideas and dreams. Be someone who brings light to the world even if you have struggled with darkness yourself because true light is a gift freely given not something we generate within ourselves ourselves – In Thy Light we see…

Light…

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness. You are doing yourself and others such a good deed to be a light bearer as you go to your work, the store, school, or anywhere else for that matter. Bless people with light today – insight – brightness – understanding.
