Spiritual Coaching Vol 2 #45 Smile…

Phyllis Diller, the great comedienne, wrote, “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.” Sometimes just smiling and laughing is just enough to turn a day around. In a study published by the University of Maryland it says, “Laughter, along with an active sense of humor, may help protect you against a heart attack, according to a new study by cardiologists at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. The study, which is the first to indicate that laughter may help prevent heart disease, was presented at the American Heart Association’s 73rd Scientific Sessions on November 15 in New Orleans. The researchers found that people with heart disease were 40 percent less likely to laugh in a variety of situations compared to people of the same age without heart disease.”  Jesus could laugh – who thinks a camel going through an eye of a needle sounds funny? Was Peter a rock or thick headed? You can catch Jesus humor in Peter’s nickname. What about John 1:47, “When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false.” Sarcasm – Jesus? You bet.

When you are filled with love and mercy. When your life is being changed by the Spirit let your face know it and show it. Sometimes when you force a smile it will convert your spirit and you will remember the one who saves your life and gives you something to laugh and sing and smile about. The smile may be the window to your soul but you have the shade drawn and the curtains pulled. Don’t let it happen. Give your joy away with a smile and watch how it gets returned as the day goes on. It is hard to be sour when there is someone smiling around you. Oscar Wilde said, “Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.” Our body language is so powerful and the smile is great ammunition to change the world around you.

Be Well.

Spot on with this write-up, I truly believe this site needs significantly a lot more consideration. I’ll probably be once more to read significantly a lot more, thanks for that information. 848023
