Spiritual Coaching Vol 2 #98 Distance…

There have been times when we have stood at the start of a long mountain trail and felt exhilarated knowing that what lay ahead was going to be spectacular. There have been moments at the beginning of a project at work when we know there will be experiences that will be life changing. There have been days of anticipation before our children are about to launch into a new phase of their life when excitement electrifies the very air around us. Each day has these moments if we would just anticipate them. They may seem small and insignificant but in the larger scope of life and sweep of history they may be quite momentous. Do you expect your day to hold moments that could sway history? Don’t belittle who you are or what you might accomplish. Jesus said, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” (John 14:1) Trust that your Creator is at the beginning, middle, and end of the journey. Like the great poet Robert Frost wrote, “But I have promises to keep,   And miles to go before I sleep,   And miles to go before I sleep.” You make an impact even in the small things that you do, at the beginning of a long journey, and even as you near what seems like the end.

Be Well…
