Everything happened this morning late because I stayed up and watched the Olympics. Late to bed, late getting up, late for appointments, late all day was the order of things. I don’t much care for being late but I’ve learned to be less stressed about such things – well that depends on who you talk to I suppose. It was fun watching and it only comes around every four years and the women’s beach volleyball and gymnastics were amazing. Let’s hear it for the women! I pushed through all my late activities and now home – house quiet, dogs outside, a few almonds on the computer table, and here we are again. Benjamin Franklin once wrote, “He that rises late must trot all day.” Old Ben was right. I’ve been catching up and now the rest of me is arriving.
In Amos 4:13 it is written, “For behold, he who forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the Lord, the God of hosts, is his name!” Enjoy your evening and know that morning or evening your Creator cares for you.
