Spiritual Coaching Vol 3 #25 Spring is….

american robinSpiritual Coaching Vol 3 #25    Spring is….

Spring is just around the corner and it may be hard to believe around here. Mark Twain once wrote, “In the Spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours.” It sure appears that way most years I’ve lived. Last year we loved the eighty degree days of Mid-March but we paid a price with some late frosts. Spring will come – some of you are enjoying it right now. My friends on the other side of the world are experiencing the beginnings of Fall. Whatever the season is we’ve got to do some things to re-fire.

Let’s purify our hearts – get ready to receive good gifts of God. Expect God to bring blessings. Let’s dedicate our bodies to honor our creator. Let’s simplify our schedule so that we have time to listen to the birds of spring but also to the voice of the Spirit. Let’s be fortified in faith by exercising it. As 1 Timothy says, “Spend your time and energy in the exercise of keeping spiritually fit.”  Finally, intensify your passion for God. As we approach a holy time of year remember the passion God has for the people of the world and the creation itself. “It is good. It is very good.” Sometimes having the perspective of the creator can make all the difference.

Be Well…

  1. Chuck Clabbers says:

While I was working and running in the rat race, two of my niegbors who had jumped off the wheel, told me, “They said how many peaple do you know that can do at 65 what they could do at 55? After working 40 years to get to where you are, why not enjoy 10 years and do what you want while you can”.
So now I drink my coffee watch the birds and flowers while I give thanks to God for watching over me and blessing me with all I have.
