Art… Spiritual Coaching (3/106)

UnknownArt… Spiritual Coaching (3/106)

Believe it or not art is an enormous stress reliever. To enjoy art is to touch the creative side of your mind and relieves stress. Art can lead to self awareness and understanding, as well as how soothing it can be to engage in the creative process. Taking the time to focus on a piece of art alone can make a tremendous difference in how we live and think. We can discover things about ourselves based on what we might draw or even doodle. It is a good tool that psychologists use in assessing their patients every day.

It can happen at your own pace – do a little online search. This is great if you have a family and very little time to travel to an art museum. Art will help you to get a better understanding of yourself and your lifestyle. It is a great way for you to find and get rid of the problems that you may be facing. Just take a look at this site for instance:

There is a great hymn I am reminded of, “For the Beauty of the Earth”

For the beauty of the earth, for the beauty of the skies, for the love which from our birth over and around us lies, Refrain: Christ our Lord, to Thee we raise this our sacrifice of praise.

For the beauty of each hour of the day and of the night, hill and vale, and tree and flower, sun and moon, and stars of light, Refrain For the joy of ear and eye, for the heart and brain’s delight, for the mystic harmony sinking sense to sound and sight, Refrain: Christ our Lord, to Thee we raise this our sacrifice of praise.

Beauty, creativity, sound, sight = stress relief.

Be Well….
