Today consider your personal environment. Journal your experiences and your celebrations, keep a positive approach, pause, breathe, and give thanks even before you start the day.
Consider these things in your personal environment:
• Your living area feels safe and welcoming. My friends and family feel welcome and give me energy. I’m not overcrowded and do not have so much that it overwhelms my senses.
• Your kitchen is healthy, inviting, and a place of well-being. You feel nourished in body and spirit.
• In my bedroom I feel relaxed and refreshed. I am free to dream and refuel for each new day.
• My home feels like a welcome site to me. I am able to deal with useless clutter and discard or give away things that I do not use. It is cleaned and cared for and makes me happy to arrive there or invite friends to visit me there.
A home can be a small apartment or a large dwelling with lots of land. What matters most is how you relate to the environment around you. How do you want to improve your environment?
Read these words aloud several times: “The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” Psalm 121:8 Don’t forget your daily affirmation and journal time.
