Get your journal out or have it handy to write in sometime today. Use this affirmation for today:
“I am still becoming – but I am just as God made me, enough.”
Also read and reread this scripture:
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16
Notice today how many questions you ask yourself. Questions such as, “I wonder if anyone will notice the new shirt I have on today? Should I tell my boss that he was too hard on one of the employees yesterday? Should I volunteer at my child’s school? Why do I eat so much? These and hundreds of other little and big questions run through out mind every day. Whenever you ask yourself a question your mind searches your conscious and subconscious mind to answer. Does it give you a positive or negative response most often?
Negative questions often block solutions. They tend to mount up auxiliary problems which ultimately can paralyze your progress. So when you find yourself asking a negative question, hit the psychological pause button and reframe it. Make it positive and solution oriented. Make it an honorable question. Feel yourself IN CONTROL.
Release yourself from feeling like a victim. As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” So try to keep track of some of the questions you are asking yourself today and the kind of answer you give yourself. Do you find solutions or do you add to your feelings of inadequacy? Change tactics – Reframe the questions.
