You don’t want to be looking up when you are walking but I’ve seen too many people glued to their smart phones as they walk along city streets or driving their car (dangerous). Last night at dinner there were three people in the booth at the restaurant actually watching cartoons on their phone while they ate dinner. It was so distracting I almost moved to a different table – I should have done that. Try looking up more often. Look at the sky, the clouds, the trees, the person across from you, or even the architecture around you to get a different vantage point in life. Yesterday I took twenty minutes to just sit under the shade of a tree and watch the breeze blow through the leaves. It was so refreshing. Give your self a lift by lifting up your eyes. Psalm 121 says,
I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
