Spiritual Life Coaching – Rejection

Spiritual Life Coaching – Rejection

We often use the word rejection to define ourselves when we have not been chosen for an assignment, project, relationship, or job. Instead we might want to toss out that word altogether and see it as movement toward a different goal – a course correction. It isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s a bit like a country western song by Garth Brooks that has a line in it that says, “I thank God for unanswered prayers.” Not everything we think we want is something that will be good for us. Redefine the rejections in your life as course corrections. In a 143 hour mission to the moon Apollo 11 course corrected four times. How many do you experience? Psalm 139:13-14 has a beautiful perspective on how we perceive ourselves and how God views us: “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”

Be Well…
