Spiritual Life Coaching – Commit

Spiritual Life Coaching – Commit

Yesterday in the podcast I talked about making a commitment to grow as you dare to dream. There are some steps we take towards growth for those who follow the Christ. In order to illustrate that I’ll share five passages from scripture.

First, “Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31) As we strengthen our faith and grow toward spiritual maturity we must join others in worship. You can worship anywhere. You can worship in a boat, on a walk, in a quiet coffee shop, in a busy city, or on top of a mountain. You can even worship instead of whistle when you work. Yet, in order to grow we must leave our isolation and move toward community for worship. We “wait upon the Lord” in the sense that we come together to worship. I believe that is the true definition of sabbath – to wait upon the Lord – we stop working and start worshipping.

Each day this week I will focus on one of the five commitments we make towards achieving our dreams. There is a blessing in making this commitment to grow and mature spiritually, so join me this week and …

Be Well…
