Spiritual Life Coaching – Spring Broke
Oh the complaints I’ve heard (many from my own lips) about how awful this spring has been. Cold, rain, clouds, snow, sleet, wind with only a few peeks of the sun – this has been spring around my neck of the woods. Woe to you braggers who tell me of your luxurious warm spot. If our attitude is the lock on or the key to our success I have been a failure the last few weeks. It has been past miserable.
OK – I’ve got it out of my system and can move on.
Remember how Lucy from “Peanuts Comic Strip” would hand out psychological help for $.05? It always seemed like it was only worth that. There is a proverb that goes like this, “The wise person teaches us that without good advice, our plans will disappoint; only after seeking counsel may we establish our purpose. (Proverbs 15:22). Purpose gives meaning and not weather. When I keep my eyes on my purpose and seek to gain wisdom everyday the weather might be a mild distraction but does not stop my purpose. Keep an open mind as you receive advice and counsel (even mine). There will never be a shortage of people who want to play the role of advisor in your life. We need them but be discerning.
So today pray for clarity and focus on your purpose and live for that. If you don’t have your purpose or your life theme figured out then work on that. Find people of intelligence and character on whom you can rely for guidance.
