Spiritual Life Coaching – Flowers

Yesterday I bought some flowers and a hanging basket. Sue was the flower person in this home. I walked around looking and trying to decide what to buy. Her pots (and there are many) still cling to the old brown plants that died last fall. The black earth in their pottery confines call our for color and life. I was thinking of that verse from John 12:24

“Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you’ll have it forever, real and eternal.”

And so I will plant and watch the splash of color reach up for the sun and soak in the rain. It will be imperfect and disorganized. I really don’t know what I’m doing but think of the colors of nature – the clash of colors is marvelous. They worship the Creator in splendid array. So I urge you to worship tonight or tomorrow and

be well…
